values + approach
As a client, my hope is for you to feel safe, seen, and accepted for exactly who you are and where you’re at in your therapy journey.
As your therapist, I hope we can create a supportive and empathic space committed to sharing, growing, crying and laughing together. I will celebrate your strength to feel it all and be a safe base for you to do this work alongside.
Ultimately, I view therapy as a process of moving collaboratively towards healing and transformation, however you define that for yourself.
I believe that mental health is impacted greatly by the systems of oppression at play in our society. As a white, queer, female therapist, I strive to unpack the nuances of systemic oppression, understand my position within those systems and the ways I may benefit from them, and address the harm caused by them both inside and outside of session.
Together, I hope we can explore your intersecting identities and the impact that societal prejudices, stigmas, and privileges have had on your experience.
My work is rooted in the belief that our attachments/relationships with others are incredible vessels for healing - and often the cause of our pain - and that effective trauma therapy should focus on allowing your nervous system to fully processing the memories, emotions, and sensations that are stuck in your body and, as a result, coloring your lens in the present.
outside of the office,
you can expect to find me hiking, skiing, and spending time with the people I love. Specifically, I’m likely to be cuddling up and watching movies, playing basketball, or trying a new restaurant. My hope for this upcoming year is that I get the chance to travel more and learn how to cook.
